We were fortunate enough to be able to experience Oceania's latest cruise ship called the Vista. Oceania graciously invited us to spend 2 lovely nights out of the Port of Miami on a “Cruise to Nowhere”, LOL. It was Oceania's way to enable some of their team, the media and select Travel Advisors to experience this lovely new addition to their fleet on a firsthand basis.
Rene and I were treated to a 2-night stay in a Concierge Level Veranda with all meals, drinks and entertainment included. It enabled me to get a lot of photos including many of the stateroom options including the Penthouse, 'Oceania' and Owner’s suites along with the newly introduced Concierge Solo Stateroom.
Concierge Veranda Stateroom - 291 square feet (above 2 photos - the shower is large and well-designed)
Penthouse Suite - 440 square feet
Owner's Suite - 2200 to 2400 square feet (These 2 photos above are just the living room, dining room and bar area of this amazing space. It also has a wrap-around terrace area and the bathroom is amazing!)
I also had a very informative presentation by their executive team and the actual designers of the ship from a local Miami company called Studio Davo. The ship's decor is absolutely stunning thanks to the team at this design company. The colors and overall decor are exquisite, elegant and classic. Such a pleasure to the eye at every turn onboard the ship.
Beautiful Decor Everywhere on the Vista
The ship holds just 1200 passengers making it a very comfortable, exclusive experience with many great activities and added space without feeling like a small city.
So many lovely nooks and crannies
The culinary experiences with Oceania are second to none and in fact, the Vista has 2 Maître Cuisiniers de France on board. This ‘Master Chef’ title is the most enviable of all in the culinary world.
Oceania pride themselves on their three pillars of distinction that include having the ‘Finest Cuisine at Sea’, their ‘Curated Travel Experiences’ and their ‘Small Ship Luxury’. Interestingly for the Vista ship, the Godmother is none other than Giada De Laurentiis, the celebrated Italian-American Chef!
The Vista's Culinary Center
As for their exquisitely crafted cuisine, not only do they have 9 venues on board plus in-suite dining for the suites but they also have the most amazing Culinary School with the many different learning opportunities available depending on the cruise itinerary. Examples such as “Passport to Italy”, “Passport to Greece”, “Taste and Technique: A Chef’s Toolkit”, “Mastering Heat: Unleashing Intense Flavor”, to name a few.
Culinary Cooking with a View!
Chef Kathyn Kelly is the brilliant person who spearheaded this operation on board their Riviera and Marina Ships and has now further enhanced it on board the Vista. They have 24 individual cooking stations on the Vista and there are also opportunities for private group programs and there’s even an opportunity for mixology classes and wine tasting and pairing as well. They also have their “Culinary Discovery Tours” off ship where you can shop with the chef in local markets where available.

Many of the restaurants and areas of the ship include great opportunities for group space including this area next to the Culinary Center with a significant representation of my favorite champagne Veuve Clicquot! In fact, even the Culinary Center will create special opportunities for groups to secure their space for private culinary events.

Their restaurants include their Grand Dining Room in a very elegant setting, the Terrace Café for both inside and alfresco casual dining, Waves Grill for alfresco dining, Aquamar Kitchen with wellness inspired options, Toscana for Authentic Italian, Polo Grill the classic steakhouse, Asian inspired Red Ginger, the brand-new Ember with elegant American traditions, and last but not least, Baristas for the coffee enthusiasts with a new Boulangerie bakery element.

The Vista has many great bars and lounges for kicking back including Martinis, Founders Bar, the Grand Lounge, Waves Bar and our very favorite option, Horizons located forward. They're all very spacious and yet have such intimacy with the seating and decor. For those clients of mine who are scotch lovers, they even have a Macallan Scotch Station in the Horizons Lounge.

They have a magnificent pool area with so many wonderful places surrounding it enabling more privacy and comfort. You can choose a shaded cabana overlooking the pool area and ocean or lounge at the water’s edge in a daybed.

Their Aquamar Spa and Vitality Center is committed to being a holistic wellness area with treatment rooms, a state-of-the-art fitness studio, a spacious salon, and the piece de resistance, Aquamar Spa Terrace with an open-air deck that has plush loungers, plunge pools and whirlpool spas. It’s an extraordinary area!

Expansive State-of-the-Art Fitness Center (my photo doesn't do it justice, it's huge!)
In addition to the Spa and wellness areas they also have a putting green, fitness track, bocce, croquet, shuffleboard and even a pickleball court!

In addition to a large casino area, their onboard entertainment includes ‘world class musical performers such as pianists, classical string quartets, dynamic vocalists, and spectacular headliners’. While on board, we experienced a wonderfully entertaining show called "Into the Night" with some incredibly talented young dancers and singers.

For those shoppers, they have a very extensive shopping area with 3 different options including a clothing, handbag, and accessory boutique, a beautiful jewelry option and a perfume, cosmetics option. Great variety for duty-free shopping!

I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the very interesting "Artist's Loft" option on board the Vista. They have "Artists in Residence" who offer step-by-step instructions on such things as painting, drawing, scupture and photography. Classes vary by sailing but it's yet again another very cool space on board the Vista.

If you're interested in having a comfortable, dedicated indoor environment for smoking, Vista's Smoker's Lounge is another attractive space on board the Vista.

One last area I must mention is the Library area. It is simply gorgeous with rich wood furnishings that are supposed to mirror a traditional equestrian estate. It's absolutely beautiful and very comfortable!

Needless to say, we were very impressed with Oceania’s new ship, The Vista! She’s absolutely stunning and offers tremendous luxury, impressive culinary options, an extraordinary experience along with great value! I’m ready and willing to help you get the best value and extra amenities when you’re ready!
